Warriors wing Ed Fidow continued his spectacular start to his international career with Samoa by scoring two tries on his Rugby World Cup debut in the 34-9 win over Russia in Kumagaya.

Fidow has now scored ten tries in his first nine internationals since he made his debut against Fiji in June 2018.

Fidow, who has joined Warriors from French Pro-D2 club Provence, scored his brace of tries in a devastating three minute period early in the second half which set Samoa on their way to a bonus point win.

Russia led 6-5 at half-time and trailed 10-9 before Fidow struck, first scything through on a cleverly-angled run then crossing on the overlap, to open up a 24-9 lead.

Samoa are next in action next Monday when they face Scotland in Kobe.
