Wales international wing Jasmine Joyce is set to make her seasonal debut for Warriors Women in Saturday’s Tyrrells Premier 15s match at Loughborough Lightning (kick-off 2.00pm).
Joyce has returned from an extended period in Australia playing in the Aon Uni 7s and has been named as a replacement as Warriors Women seek to build on last week’s 15-12 victory over Bristol Bears Women at Sixways.
Joyce scored four tries for Barbarians Women against USA in Denver last April and has been a prolific try-scorer on the international sevens circuit.
Warriors have also included recent signing Carys Phillips, the Wales hooker and captain, on the bench for a possible debut.
Phillips has joined Warriors from Ospreys giving further experience and depth to Jo Yapp’s squad.
Yapp has named an unchanged starting XV for the short trip across the Midlands with Jess Wieshu and Cara Brincat added to the squad as replacements.
