Warriors Under-18s will grace the famous Welford Road turf tomorrow as they take on Leicester Tigers in the Premiership Rugby Academy League (kick-off 12pm).
The Sixways outfit have made four changes for the trip, with Jon Lilley starting at hooker and Jack Lewis getting the nod at blindside flanker as Coaches Gordon Ross and Mike Hill shuffle their pack in the absence of injured second-row Imoesi Ogwemoh.
Tom Miles, a try-scorer in last week’s dramatic 22-19 victory over Newcastle Falcons, comes in for Ollie Wynn at scrum-half, while James Mann makes his first start of the campaign at inside centre, replacing injured captain Seb Atkinson.
“I’ve been really pleased with the character and work-rate shown by the boys in recent weeks, and to record wins against quality opposition such as Wasps, Northampton and Newcastle is no mean feat,” said Academy Manager Mike Hall.
“Leicester have been in fine form this season, winning all four of their league games, so we know that we will have to be at our very best in order to continue our winning run.
“Opportunities to play at grounds like Welford Road don’t come around often, and I’m sure the lads are really looking forward to it.”
A three-game winning streak has propelled Warriors into second place, three points behind table-toppers Leicester in the Northern Conference.
Warriors sealed their third successive league victory last weekend by virtue of a Finn Smith penalty with the last kick of the game.
Sparking scenes of celebration at Sixways, Warriors will be keen to extend their winning run at the home of the ABC Club.
