Warriors’ hooker Niall Annett has praised Tatiana Fatialofa, wife of his injured team-mate Michael, for the support she is giving her husband in his recovery from serious neck injuries.
After a month in London’s St Mary’s Hospital, the first three in intensive care, Michael is now continuing his rehabilitation at a specialist spinal injuries clinic in Buckinghamshire.
Since he was stretchered from the pitch in Warriors’ Gallagher Premiership match against Saracens at Allianz Park, Tatiana has been at his bedside and has provided moving updates of his progress – good and bad – on her Instagram account.
“The boys are in constant contact with Michael and he is working really hard on his rehab,” said Annett.
“He and his wife are an amazing team, Tatiana in particular. She has been like Superwoman.
“I have been in such amazement with the way they are dealing with their circumstances.
“As a club and as a group of players we are doing everything we possibly can to make sure that the foundations are in place to support Michael and Tatiana and they know that they can lean on us if they need to.
“I went to see Michael about a week-and-a-half ago and I’m looking forward to going back to see him.”
