Cornell du Preez helps Scotland win again

Cornell du Preez came off the bench to help Scotland claim a 14-10 win over Wales at a windy Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli to complete their Guinness Six Nations campaign.

The Warriors back-row won his ninth international cap when he replaced Blade Thomson at number eight after 53 minutes.

Du Preez soon made his presence felt with a muscular contribution to the driving maul which led to replacement hooker Stuart McInally going over for the try that gave Scotland the lead.

Scotland’s win was their first over Wales in Wales since 2002 and earned them the Doddie Weir Cup.

Du Preez was also part of last week’s win over Georgia and his side face Italy on Saturday November 14 in the Autumn Nations Cup.
