Ollie Lawrence and Ted Hill in England A squad

Warriors pair Ollie Lawrence and Ted Hill have been named in the England A matchday squad to play Scotland A at Leicester on Sunday (kick-off 2.00pm).

Centre Lawrence, who has been capped six times at senior level, will start with flanker and Warriors’ Club Captain Hill on the bench. Hill was capped by England as a replacement against Japan in November 2018.

Sunday’s match will be the first played by England A – formerly England Saxons – in ten years and is an important part of England’s preparations for the forthcoming full internationals against USA and Canada at Twickenham.

“This squad has grown over the past few weeks, full of energy and competition and the players have given their all,” said England A Head Coach John Mitchell.

“Now the next step is for us to work even harder at becoming more cohesive in our final stages of our preparation.

“We are looking forward to a tough game against Scotland A. We’ve prepared well and will arrive ready for it.”
