Worcester Warriors will kick-off the 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership season at home to London Irish at Sixways on Saturday September 18 (kick-off 3pm).
The match is a re-run of the 2020/21 season opener, which Warriors won 11-10, and will be the first of four attractive matches at Sixways in the first group of seven fixtures announced by Premiership Rugby today.
Gloucester Rugby visit Worcester for a mouth-watering M5 derby on Saturday October 2 followed by a Midlands derby against Leicester Tigers on Saturday October 16 and the visit of Sale Sharks to Sixways on Saturday October 30 (all 3pm kick-offs).
In between those home games Warriors face away assignments against defending champions Harlequins at The Stoop on Saturday September 25 and last season’s beaten finalists Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park on Saturday October 9 (both 3pm kick-offs).
Warriors will make their seasonal debut in front of the BT Sport cameras on Friday October 22 against Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens (kick-off 7.45pm).
Warriors will then face successive away games against Bristol Bears (weekend of November 5-7) and Newcastle Falcons (weekend of November 26-28) either side of two rounds of European Challenge Cup matches.
Wasps will be the visitors for the final Premiership match of 2021 at Sixways on the weekend of (December 3-5) before another away day, to Saracens, on Christmas weekend (December 26-27).
Warriors have a free weekend to start January at the turn of the year in Round 12.
Highlights of 2022 include home matches against Northampton Saints (weekend of January 28-30), Bristol Bears (February 18-20), Harlequins (February 25-27), Exeter Chiefs (March 11-13), Newcastle Falcons (April 1-3), Saracens (April 29-May 1) and Bath Rugby in the final round of the regular season on June 4.
