Duhan van der Merwe and Rory Sutherland were unable to help British & Irish Lions to a Test victory as the Springboks ran out 27-9 winners in Cape Town.
Van der Merwe played the full game while Sutherland played 24 minutes from the bench as the series heads to a decider next Saturday.
