Talented wings join Warriors Women

Talented wings Ursula Hardy and Evie England have signed senior forms with Warriors Women ahead of the 2021/22 Allianz Premier 15s season.

“Both Ursula and Evie have joined us from Worcester RFC, having been spotted by our Head of Women’s Development Benny Williams,” said Jo Yapp, Warriors Women Director of Rugby, who prepares her charges for this Saturday’s Allianz Premier 15s opener at Sale Sharks.

“Ursula is a very physical player with a great work ethic. She has a lot of potential, and we are looking forward to seeing her develop further at the club.

“Evie has been a great addition this season – as a 19-year-old she has come into the environment eager to learn and develop.

“She’s shown great potential with ball in hand, and we are excited to see her pull on a Warriors shirt this season.”

Hardy has Premier 15s experience from her time with DMP Durham Sharks and is relishing the challenge ahead with Warriors.

She said: “The club has a fantastic set-up and plays a very high standard of rugby. This is a great opportunity for me to continue to progress and develop as a player.

“I’m excited for this season and to be a part of the Warriors family.”

England, who embarks on her first Premier 15s campaign, spent two seasons with Filton College as well as a campaign with Hartpury College.

Full of excitement on her arrival to Sixways, England added: “I’m so excited for my first season with Warriors and I already feel so at home at the club.

“I can’t wait to be playing with the girls and learning from everyone around me. I’m looking forward to what the season holds.”
