Loan watch | Warriors team-mates to be opponents for the day

Warriors team-mates will be opponents for the day in two matches on Saturday.

Number eight Morgan Monks, scrum-half Ollie Wynn and fly-half Fin Smith have been included in Ampthill’s matchday squad for their Championship match against a Coventry side that includes wing Tom Howe at Dillingham Park.

Monks, who scored a try on debut when he came off the bench in Ampthill’s defeat at Nottingham last weekend, starts against Coventry with Wynn and Smith again named among the replacements as the Three Pears Warriors Academy trio continue their dual registration arrangement with the Bedfordshire club.

Howe impressed in Coventry’s victory over Doncaster Knights at the Butts Park Arena and will again start against Ampthill in the second match of his loan spell.

Four more Warriors players will be involved in the National League Two North match between Luctonians and Loughborough Students at Mortimer Park.

Loosehead prop Ben Murphy, lock Cheick Kone and flanker Jack Forsythe have all been named as replacements for Luctonians with their Academy team-mate scrum-half Tom Miles starting for the students.

Warriors’ back-row forward Caleb Montgomery is set to make his Championship debut for Cornish Pirates against Hartpury at the Alpas Arena.

Montgomery began his loan spell with Pirates by scoring a try in the victory over Royal Navy in a pre-season friendly three weeks ago and then played for Warriors against them the following week.

He has been named on the bench for Pirates for Saturday’s trip to Gloucestershire.

Two Warriors Academy players, wing Tobi Wilson and hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas, are in Stourbridge’s squad for their National Two North match against Tynedale at Stourton Park. Wilson will start with Theobald-Thomas among the replacements.

All loan/dual registrations are subject to possible late changes.
