The Community Foundation, like many other charities, is having to find new ways to generate revenue owing to the COVID-19 pandemic to support its expanding and life-changing programme of work.

Warriors Community Foundation exists to build a legacy for sport and social cohesion across our community and works with people who are disengaged, disadvantaged and those who live in isolation.

The Foundation supports people who have limited ability whether through physical disabilities or mental health and other complex individual needs.

The Foundation works with over 12,000 vulnerable people across all age groups every single year and needs support to continue this amazing work.

The projects include Tackling Dementia Sports Café, blind rugby, homeless football, SEN school sports, diabetes rugby, inclusion rugby, wheelchair rugby, mental health boxing academy, youth centre sports outreach and walking rugby.

“Try Giving is a great way to get the fans involved and all supporting the charity,” said Dan Hart, the Foundation’s Development Co-ordinator.

“We have had to find many new ways to get funding to support all of our projects throughout the pandemic and the Try Giving campaign will be another way we hope to fund the continued expansion of all our projects within the Foundation.

“We are expanding rapidly with our Dementia Sports Café soon to be opening across nine other venues across Worcester, our inclusion teams are all operating across multiple new venues, there are lots of new projects including wheelchair rugby and much more.

“The high demand for the Foundation’s work is brilliant but we now are asking for Warriors’ supporters to help the foundation by getting involved with Try Giving and to support a great cause and many people across Worcester and Worcestershire.”
