Loan watch | Owen and Morris in Birmingham Moseley squad

Kai Owen and Joe Morris have been named as replacements for Birmingham Moseley for Saturday’s National One match against Tonbridge Juddians at Billesley Common.

Loosehead Owen and tighthead Morris have both joined Moseley on loan and have been named in the matchday squad as they attempt to bounce back from consecutive defeats by Cambridge and Chinnor.

It will be Owen’s second spell with Moseley having made three appearances for them in the 2018/19 season while Morris is in line to make his debut having previously played for Hartpury and Yorkshire Carnegie in the RFU Championship and Henley Hawks in the National Leagues on dual registrations.

They are among nine Warriors players who will be in loan action this weekend with wing Tom Howe and hooker Joe Richardson the first in Coventry’s Championship match at Hartpury on Friday evening.

Howe again starts for Coventry with Richardson among the replacements for the trip to the Alpas Arena.

Number eight Morgan Monks and scrum-half Ollie Wynn both start for Ampthill in Saturday’s Bedfordshire derby against Bedford in the Championship at Dillingham Park.

Wynn will be making his first start for Ampthill having impressed off the bench this season.

In National Two North, there are three members of the Three Pears Warriors Academy in action for Stourbridge against Huddersfield at Stourton Park.

Centre Seb Atkinson is in line to make his debut for Stourbridge having joined them this week on a dual registration. He has been named on the bench along with hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas.

Scrum-half Tom Miles, another member of the Academy at Sixways, is in Loughborough Students’ squad at Hull having scored a brace of tries in the win at Luctonians two weeks ago.

All loans and dual registrations are subject to change at late notice.
