Loan Watch | Cheick Kone heads back to Yorkshire

Three Pears Warriors Academy lock Cheick Kone faces another Saturday trip to Yorkshire with Luctonians this weekend.

Having returned from injury off the bench for Luctonians at Hull Ionians last Saturday, Kone will start for the Herefordshire club’s National Two North match against Sheffield Tigers at Dore Moor tomorrow.

Loosehead prop Ben Murphy, who was part of Warriors’ non-playing squad against Wasps last Saturday, is back with Luctonians this weekend and will also start at Sheffield.

Hooker Joe Richardson will start for Coventry in their Championship match against Jersey Reds at the Stade Santander International on Saturday with back-row forward Caleb Montgomery on the bench for Cornish Pirates against Ampthill at Dillingham Park.

Meanwhile three members of the Three Pears Warriors Academy – flanker Jack Forsythe, centre Seb Atkinson and hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas – will be involved in a North v South Under-20s trial match at St George’s Park in Burton.

The match forms part of the selection process for this season’s England Under-20s side and means that the trio will not be on loan this weekend.

Forsythe (Luctonians) and Atkinson and Theobald-Thomas (Stourbridge) have gained valuable senior experience by playing regular National Leagues rugby this season.

A fourth Warriors player, wing Tobi Wilson, has been forced to withdraw from the trial match because of a foot injury. Wilson has also been playing for Stourbridge on
