DISE host families for female academy players

Warriors are looking for host families for the 2022/23 season for female academy players who are part of the Diploma In Sporting Excellence Programme at Hereford Sixth Form College.

As Warriors try to expand their female academy programme, the club needs host families for accommodation to ensure the best accessibility to high class facilities, teaching and coaching. Warriors Women currently run the female DISE Programme, which is situated at Hereford Sixth Form College. The college has an outstanding reputation for providing outstanding quality of teaching and support to young people in the Herefordshire & Worcestershire area.

Host families would usually house one or, in most cases, two players and are reimbursed either on a weekly or nightly basis for their assistance through a structured invoicing process. All host families will be provided with education in nutrition and player conduct and lifestyle amongst various other areas and introductions to players and their families would be completed well in advance of the player starting college.

As our geographical area is so large, it would be of great advantage for students to live in the local area of the Sixth Form during the week so that they are not spending large amounts of time travelling on a daily basis. The players stay with their host families during the week and return home at the weekend.

Essential Requirements

  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Comfortable environment with cooking, washing, living facilities etc.
  • Live in or around the Herefordshire area
  • Ability to build relationships with young people
