Team News | Bristol Bears v Warriors Women

Japan fly-half Minori Yamamoto returns to Warriors Women’s starting XV for tomorrow’s Allianz Premier 15s trip to Bristol Bears (kick-off 12pm).

Yamamoto, who became the first Japanese player to kick a goal in the Premier 15s back in October of last year, is one of three changes to the side that picked up a try bonus-point at Saracens last week.

Experienced Wales international Sioned Harries starts at number-eight after coming on as a second half replacement at Stonex Stadium, while former Bear Amelia Buckland Hurry gets the nod at second-row alongside Alycia Washington.

“Bristol are doing really well in the league and they have some big ball-carriers such as Sarah Bern,” said Jo Yapp, Warriors Women Director of Rugby Jo Yapp.

“They have some exciting backs too, so we know it is going to be a big challenge, but one that we are really looking forward to.”
