Warriors pair help Luctonians to big win

Warriors pair Jack Forsythe and Ben Murphy helped Luctonians to a thumping 75-0 win over Harrogate at Mortimer Park in National Two North on Saturday.

Flanker Forsythe started and loosehead prop Murphy came off the bench for the Herefordshire club who ran in 11 tries.

Forsythe and Murphy were among five Warriors players in loan action in the National Leagues or Championship on Saturday.

Another member of the Three Pears Warriors Academy, centre Seb Atkinson, scored a try for Stourbridge but it was not enough to save them from a 48-33 defeat by Rotherham at Stourton Park.

Atkinson went over for Stourbridge’s only try in the first-half which saw Rotherham open up a 38-7 lead. Stourbridge rallied after the break to secure a try bonus point.

Warriors back-row forward Caleb Montgomery helped Cornish Pirates to draw 24-24 with Richmond at the Athletic Ground in the Championship.

Montgomery, who is on an extended loan at Pirates, started at blindside flanker and played the full 80 minutes.

Warriors loosehead prop Lewis Holsey came off the bench in the second-half for Hartpury who were beaten 33-14 by Championship leaders Ealing Trailfinders at the Alpas Arena.
