Warriors trio named in England Under-18s Development Camp squad

Three Warriors players have been invited to an England Under-18s Development Camp at Bisham Abbey this weekend.

Back-row forward Theo Mayell (Monmouth School and Monmouth), Wing Alex Wills (Hartpury College and Worcester) and lock Harvey Cuckson (Ellesmere College and Mold) all impressed playing for Warriors in their six-match programme in the recent
Premiership Rugby Under-18 Academy League North Conference.

They will now attend the England Under-18s camp at the National Sports Centre near Marlow from Friday to Sunday.

“We are really pleased for the three players called in to this England Development Camp,” said Mike Hall, manager of the Three Pears Warriors Academy.

“They have all performed really well in the Under-18s Academy League season and deserve this opportunity to train in the international environment.

“All of the staff here at Warriors Academy are delighted and wish the boys well.

“This is not only great personal recognition for their players and their families, but also their schools, colleges, and junior clubs.

“A young player’s journey, from first picking up a ball to playing at Academy Under-18s – and hopefully ultimately for England – has so many people involved in it.

“Everyone within our Academy catchment area who has had a part to play in the development of these players should feel an enormous sense of satisfaction and pride at this news”.
