Warrior Dan Chambers gets Scotland Under-18s call

Dan Chambers has become the fourth Warriors Under-18s player this week to receive an international call-up.

Chambers, who can play either at full-back or fly-half, has been invited to Scotland Under-18s’ Pathway Camp at West Park Leeds today and on Friday.

Chambers, a member of Warriors’ ACE programme at Stourport HS & Sixth Form Centre, plays his club rugby for Wolverhampton an impressed playing for Warriors Under-18s in their recent Premiership Rugby Under-18 Academy League matches.

His Scotland call-up follows the selection of his Warriors team-mates Alex Wills, Harvey Cuckson and Theo Mayell for an England Under-18s Development Camp at Bisham Abbey this weekend.

“Everyone at Worcester Warriors and Stourport High School are delighted to see Dan being invited into the Scotland camp,” said Jon Goodridge, Warriors Academy Backs and Transition Coach.

“He has worked extremely hard over the past two years and has been a consistent member of the Under-18s squad throughout the Academy League.

“The fact he can play both ten and 15 is very beneficial to any team and the Scotland selectors obviously recognise the value of his versatility. We wish Dan all the best of luck and hope he really enjoys the experience”.
