Ben Murphy back with Luctonians for Yorkshire trip

Warriors’ loosehead prop Ben Murphy will be back on duty with Luctonians in National Two North on Saturday.

The Three Pears Warriors Academy prospect has spent the last two weeks on a dual registration with Hartpury in the Championship and he made his debut for them as a replacement against Jersey Reds two weeks ago.

But he has spent most of the season playing for Luctonians on a similar arrangement and he has returned to them for Saturday’s trip to Wharfedale.

Murphy will start for Luctonians along with his Warriors team-mate Jack Forsythe, who again starts at blindside flanker. A third Warriors player, lock Cheick Kone, has been named among Luctonians’ replacements for the trip to the Yorkshire Dales.

Three more Warriors players will be in loan action in the Championship this weekend with back-row forward Caleb Montgomery named in Cornish Pirates’ starting XV for their match against Jersey Reds at The Mennaye on Sunday.

Montgomery impressed when he came on as a second-half replacement against Bedford Blues last week and helped Pirates to a 20-12 win at Goldington Road.

Loosehead prop Lewis Holsey will again start for Hartpury for Saturday’s match against Ampthill at the Alpas Arena.

Scrum-half Ollie Wynn, who was an unused replacement against Doncaster Knights last week, is again named on the bench against the club he played for earlier in the season.
