Matchday FAQs – Harlequins

Why were there PA issues at last week’s match?
Due to BT Sport presenting the live fixture from the South Stand due to weather conditions, the PA system in the South Stand was lowered during the time periods where the presenters were on the air. There were also some PA speakers in the East Stand that suffered a power surge, likely due to Storm Eunice, which meant the full audio was not clear.

Have these been fixed?
Yes, BT Sport are presenting from a different location and the issues caused from the power spike have also been fixed this week.

Why were those in the David Lloyd car park held back?
Due to the high winds, crowd safety barriers were unable to be in place to allow safe pedestrian crossings following the match. For this reason, those parked in the David Lloyd car park were held back for 10 minutes to allow pedestrians to exit safely. Worcester Warriors do not condone any abuse or anti-social behaviour displayed, in particular to our stewards at last week’s match, and are investigating incidents from the Bristol Bears match.

Is there an update on the new till system?
Our new till system has seen a dramatic improvement to the speed of transaction and usage for all bar staff. With the new system still in its early stages, there will be a continuous improvement at future matches.

Why did drinks run out in the International Suite?
A select number of ales ran out at half-time in the International Suite at last week’s match. This was due to a larger than normal number of purchases based on our predicted stock levels from throughout the season, likely due to fewer supporters staying in the EBC Fanzone due to the adverse weather. Stock levels are continually monitored and ale locations around the ground are updated for each matchday on the Matchday Hub, meaning you can find all bars selling your favourite ales.

What is the impact of the roadworks to the M5 after the match?
At approximately 8:30pm on the Friday 25 February, the northbound junction 6 exit slip road will be closed. This time is delayed from initial plans to allow any supporters who may be running late to still take the exit to Sixways. Those supporters who are planning to be picked up at the end of the match are advised to arrange an alternative route to avoid the northbound junction 6 exit slip road.
Please also note that at 11pm the northbound junction 6 on slip road will be closed. This should still allow all cars to exit this route as planned following the final-whistle.

What time does the EBC Fanzone open?
The EBC Fanzone opens at 5pm.

When are Happy Hour and Early Bird prices?
Early Bird prices are from 5pm-6pm in the EBC Fanzone with prices starting from £3.60 a pint and Happy Hour prices are from 6pm-7pm with pints starting from £3.80.

What matchday entertainment is in the EBC Fanzone?
The After Party will be performing live sets pre and post-match, as well as a range of fun family activities supplied by BBC Inflatables. Blackpole Recycling will also have a Disco Lorry on the concourse between 5-6pm.
