Sixways to host Allianz Premier 15s final

Sixways has been chosen as the venue for this season’s Allianz Premier 15s final on Friday 3 June (kick-off 3pm).

It will be the first time that the showpiece event has been staged at Sixways and follows the highly successful staging of the England v USA Women’s international at the stadium in November, which attracted a bumper crowd of 7,515.

“We are delighted to be hosting the Allianz Premier 15s final at Sixways Stadium, an occasion which promises to be a thrilling climax to the campaign,” said Warriors Managing Director Peter Kelly.

“Sixways played host to the Red Roses last November when they took on USA Eagles in front of a big crowd, so there is an appetite for top level women’s rugby, and we can’t wait for the showpiece event.”

The top four teams at the end of the regular Allianz Premier 15s will progress to the semi-finals, which will be played on the weekend of May 21-22 with the final following just under a fortnight later.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here costing just £12 for adults and £6 for juniors.

“It’s great that Sixways has been chosen as the host venue for the final, building on the success of the Red Roses international last autumn,” said Warriors Women Director of Rugby Jo Yapp.

“The Allianz Premier 15s has been the most competitive to date and I’m sure the local community as well as supporters from both finalists will get behind such a memorable occasion.”

Saracens and Harlequins have contested the three finals to date with the former twice victorious. Gerard Mullen’s Quins earning their maiden title with a 25-17 win at Kingsholm in 2021.

After 16 rounds current leaders Saracens are the only side guaranteed a spot in the top four with Bristol Bears, Exeter Chiefs, Harlequins, Wasps and Loughborough Lightning battling for the remaining places in the final two rounds.

“We are really looking forward to taking the Allianz Premier 15s final to Sixways,” said Alex Teasdale, Head of the Women’s game at the RFU.

“Worcester Warriors‘ commitment to the women’s and girls’ game, both with their own programme and more broadly is admirable and it’s exciting to work together.

“It’s been a difficult couple of years for everyone and we are thankful that we can now welcome full crowds to our stadia.”

Carolyn Rich, Head of Brand Marketing and Social Responsibility at Allianz, said: “The Allianz Premier 15s final is the showpiece event in English domestic women’s rugby and Sixways is a brilliant venue.

“As Official Insurance Partner of England Rugby, and title partner of the Allianz Premier 15s and Inner Warrior, increasing interest and awareness of the women’s game is a big part of what we do and this final will only enhance this.

“This has been a competitive and enjoyable season on the field and one we’re proud to have been a part of.

“We’re really looking forward to the event which will be a real celebration of the season overall.”

Hospitality packages are £48 per person and includes a two-course Jubilee themed meal, balcony seat, private bar, matchday programme, player Q&A and one on-site parking space per four guests.
