Joslin appointed North Midlands Head Coach

Warriors Community Rugby Manager to oversee county side

Warriors Community Rugby Manager Steve Joslin has been appointed the new Head Coach of the North Midlands senior side for this season’s Bill Beaumont County Championship campaign.

Joslin, an RFU Level Three coach, is currently coach of Worcestershire & Herefordshire. He fills the gap left by former Luctonians Director of Rugby Alex Davidson, who stepped down as North Midlands Head Coach just before the start of last season’s County Championship.

Joslin, who was appointed after a rigorous recruitment and interview process, has 25 years of coaching experience around the world including the Trinidad & Tobago national side, Munster Ladies and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Joslin said: “I’m delighted to be overseeing the North Midlands side this season as we prepare for some very tough encounters.

“I am excited to be working with some fantastic players and we will all be working hard to have a successful season.”

North Midlands Coaching Co-ordinator Ian Strangward said: “We are delighted that Steve has agreed to take on the challenge of the North Midlands senior squad and we look forward to this season’s campaign.”

North Midlands open their County Championship campaign against Hampshire at Gosport & Fareham on May 5.

They then host Warwickshire at Bromsgrove on May 12 before travelling to Taunton to face Somerset on May 19.
